We spend our lives
trying to hide the loneliness of our souls and the vacuity of our existences. Believing
that he can escape this situation, a man invites a prostitute to his apartment, not
knowing that fate made sure that they know each other.
Director's biofilmography:
Simon Lavoie studies cinema and screenplay writing at UQAM
(2002). During his studies, he directs a few shorts, notably Sanguine in 2001. In
2003, he delivers Nearness (Corps étrangers) which is awarded with the 2003 AQCC
"best short" prize and nominated for the "Jutra" award 2004 in that
same category. In May 2004, he directs Until Dawn, which is also nominated for
the "best short" Jutra award. In August 2004, he also shot in 35mm another short
fiction, Une Chapelle Blanche. |
