Filmmaker's Bio :

JEAN-FRANÇOIS DAIGLE
Born in 1979, Jean-François Daigle shot his first film at the age of 10 with the help of his brother and a Fisher Price « Pixelvision » camera. In the hopes of becoming a camera operator, he persued his studies in cinema in CEGEP and university, and has touched various genres (ENG, documentary, fiction, experimental cinema and music video) in video and 16mm. His final-year film at Concordia University, intitled PAIN RELIEF, earned him the MICHEL-TRUDEL AWARD in FILM PRODUCTION for Overall Technical Achievement in Third Year Film Production. During Montreal’s last World Film Festival, he won the NORMAN McLAREN AWARD FOR THE BEST PRODUCTION of the 32nd annual Canadian Student Film Festival “for its corky and unpredictable storyline and audacious use of different styles to convey a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable film” and also received the BEST FICTION VIDEO AWARD.
